Circus Night!

We spent Monday night at the circus here in LeRoy! Not under the big top, but in the high school gym! It is our 2nd year going..and the girls love it! (Rob and I have our own little private laughs as the ring leader talks in his WWF announcer voice...(think, "let's get ready to rumble!") and looks almost orange he has so much bronzer on! ANd yes, he serenades the trapeze artist...just makes Rob and I chuckle!)

Ok, I just booked my last table service restaurant for Disney World!

Here is the line up:
Monday morning: Magic Kingdom at Cinderella's Castle for b-fast with the princesses!
Tuesday: Prime Time 50s cafe for lunch at Hollywood Studios(so we can get to the evening's show of Fantastmic! without being stuck in a restaurant)
Wednesday: lunch- Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot®--plus surprising Anna with a birthday cake for her upcoming 4th b-day!
Thursday: Dinner at authentic Irish pub, Raglan Road in Downtown Disney (heard great things-live music and Irish dancers!)
Friday: ending week with a bang at Chef Mickey's for dinner at the Contemporary resort--can't wait to dine with Mickey and Minnie!

Disney Warm-up...

I can't believe that our trip to Walt Disney World is only 3 months away...and I really have to get serious about research! I've been talking to friends and getting lots of advice, and I have some books on loan from my friend Jenn...

We got a warmup to all things Disney by going to "Disney on Ice"--Princess Classics this past Sunday. It was really fun...Disney just makes things so magical! (and expensive...we knew this year to be prepared for expensive snacks, etc...so we made the girls "split" a $10 cotton candy that comes with mouse ears on a crown!)

Here are some pics!

Fun and Freezing Saturday!

Yes...it was freezing here in WNY..but we managed to have a great time anyway! After dance class in the AM for anna...we finished putting away the rest of the Christmas decorations and then when Rob had to go to work, the girls and I headed for Strong Museum!

The fun thing is that Rob didn't have a 6 p.m. show tonight, so he got to come and meet us for dinner! We ate at the old fashioned diner inside the museum...and it was a nice Saturday night. I love the museum in the late afternoon/evening. It is so relaxed..not crowded and FUN!

Pretty Changes Barbie on left in yellow!

I even got to show the girls my Barbie from when I was little...which I found in the display of Barbie dolls upstairs. WOW! Pretty Changes Barbie! She also came with a brunette and red wig... Look at that yellow outfit...total 70s disco era! And Barbie with short hair...you never see that now!

oh well.....

I just had to update you all on my "dream team" tryout and the infamous Oprah tickets! I had such a good feeling about both of them...but my hopes were dashed this time around.

Kelly, Trisha and I got the rejection email from Oprah in our email at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning...we will have to try again for the next "reservation window." It would have made a great 40th birthday present!

The other thing that I was really holding out for was for the chance to be named a "Shabby Girl" for Shabby Miss Jenn designs. I got the email from Jenn tonight that she had a HUGE amount of entries, and I unfortunately wasn't chosen. She had a tough job to choose those winners. She is my absolute FAV designer...and a friend, too. I can be thankful that the digi scrappin world has brought me some great friends from across the country that I've never met in person!

Here is some good news--watch this story at Nazareth College--on an 88 year old alumna who still plays the marimba! And you may recognize a familiar voice...."me!" ha ha

Read Alll About It!

Catie and Anna grabbed the headlines this weekend! They were quoted in the local newspaper at the New Year's Eve fireworks celebration and then Anna and Rob had their picture in the local pennysaver for Father's Night at nursery school!

My friends Kelly, Trisha and I are waiting on pins and needles for an email in the next 24 hours! From OPRAH!
Kelly has wanted to go to the Oprah show for years--and it is now the final season! They finally have a new reservation system where everyone has an equal shot to get tickets by becoming a member at Oprah.com and then requesting seats for the available shows when the "reservation window" is open for a day and a 1/2! We HAVE to be able to go once we request the seats--or we can never try again! (Oprah wants no empty seats) So--keep your fingers crossed for us!!! We applied for 9 different shows in the next two weeks!

I am also hoping these layouts will help me win a very special honor that I'm dying to get! :) It would be a great way to start 2010! That's all I'll say for now.....but pretty please!
