Happy 3rd Birthday Sweet Baby!

I can't even believe it....my baby? She turned 3 yesterday! We celebrated on Memorial Day with a trip to the local parade, and then a picnic party with our family. Anna loved every second of it! She had a Belle cake, and pretty much Princess everything! Mommy and Daddy got her a new Princess bedding set to go on a "toddler bed!" and a new princess lamp ..oh, and Princess light up sneakers and princess sandals...you get the idea! Catie got her the Pinnochio blu-ray...

Here she is in the Cinderella dress up shoes (one of 4 pairs--Belle, Snow White and Aurora are the others_ from Aunt Carrie and Uncle Tim! A fav present for sure! So glad that Erin and Maggie could come too..and Anna was so excited for the return of "toto!" (a puppy we'd let maggie take home, and then Anna just couldn't let him go!) She got an awesome princess beach towel from Uncle Matt & Aunt Stacey...along with Ariel beach/pool toys galore! Aunt Kelly got to come too...and she lit up Anna's world with High School Musical PJs (with a little light up section on them) and a Hannah Montana flashlight! Gramma G. was a hit with some adorable summer clothes and some fun summer toys (giant mega bubbles and Princess Crayola wonder coloring book!) And, she opened up her presents from Gramma and Grandpa Long early on Saturday (when she had a relapse of the tummy yuckies) and she's already worn all her outfits! ANNA says thank you everyone!

She is one precocious little love bug...so smart, funny, charming with her little grin and tilt of her head, and a little bit of the drama queen! We love you Anna!

A wonderful Mother's Day!

I am excited that I'm watching the season finale of LOST right now...but trying to catch up on my blog and facebook, too! multi-tasking is a must if I want to get to bed on time! I'm really going to try to get more sleep.

I owe it to myself to stay healthy...I've had some moments of clarity this week...and realize how quickly our lives can go if we don't stop and LIVE them...I want to enjoy every moment with my girls and my husband and our families...I want to live to be 100 (and like my dear friend Kel said..."be on the TODAY show withWillard Scott & the Smucker's Jar). And of course Rob joked...are you sure you want to be 100? Which made me joke back..at least 90~

This layout above was just finished tonight, too! I entered into Scrapping Simply's very first layout contest! (click on the icon in the upper right corner of my blog) I just LOVE this photo that Rob took of us...wish me luck!

I
t's now Wednesday, but I didn't want to let more time go by before I shared some great Mother's Day photos! Rob and the girls got me a new Canon SD960 point and shoot camera...I LOVE our Rebel, but there are times that I just need the little camera to throw in my purse to always have it with me...it works great! I took these photos with it!

On Monday night...Rob and I took the girls for a walk in town...a favorite place is to see "baby Jesus"--a statue of Mary and Jesus on our Main Street. Catie turned it into a nature walk...and placed dandelions at Mary's feet, along with a pinecone on her dress..

Anna also wanted to add her flowers, but needed a little boost.

Anna also loved when I taught her that we can wear flowers behind our ears! I just love this photo of her...my new favorite!

I'd also like to shout out to Alicia...thanks for all the listening you did this week girl! You were a great support during all the stress of our jobs...and the craziness of Saturday's commencement. For those of you who don't know...our giant tent used for commencement at the college fell down, just 45 minutes after the undergrad ceremony. There were several very minor injuries of workers clearing away chairs..but it could have been horrible with thousands under the tent earlier.

Some good news...I'm getting an iphone next week! Alicia, Col and I are making a field trip!

Also--a funny overheard while the girls and I were eating our ice cream at our fav ice cream stand tonight (a special Wed. night treat)

Catie: "the smell of cow poop and skunk just don't mix~" (the ice cream stand is in the country...right next to a dairy farm!)

Spring has Sprung!

We've been busy at the Long house...Daddy was out of town with his brothers for a golf weekend, which he truly deserved, and that left me and the girls with the run of the house for the weekend! Anna had a big moment on Sunday---her first movie in the actual theatre!

We walked into the giant theatre complex, and she kinda just stopped, looked up, and took it all in! It is giant, and I can't imagine what it looked like to her little eyes! We got the "big daddy" popcorn, sour patch kids, and we took off to find the theatre showing "Hannah Montana: The Movie!" They were so excited...and in true Disney form, Rated G was truly that...I didn't feel uncomfortable with Anna watching it (it is a hard thing to find movies like that)...I even liked the story for Catie's age range..teaching that our family is most important...to be true to ourselves. I was pleasantly surprised. The popcorn kept Anna busy for the first 40 minutes, then Catie had to go to the bathroom (note to self: don't break open the secret drinks in your purse until later in the movie!) and we all had to trek to the restroom. Anna went too--but as soon as we sat down she said she had to go again...I was able to distract her..but we had a few more "almost" moments..but I was able to keep her quiet for the whole 1 hour and 1/2!
We had a great time, and I love this little "cell phone" shot of the girls afterwards. We then met Aunt Kelly for an impromptu visit for a few minutes!

Catie had her very first soccer practice on Saturday morning...look how cute she is in her uniform! She was so excited to "gear up!" She did a great job...it is instructional for her age group, and she was just having fun with her team learning basic skills.

Here is a look at Stacey's baby shower invitations! Yes...Shabby Miss Jenn to the rescue...I just love her Shabby Babies kits...I pretty much bought it all for the shower, and Anna's baby book...I was excited to put my own little twist on it by taking the water bottle wrap and using it as the "RSVP band" which also tells where they are registered on the back! Mom and I are throwing the shower, and we got together Friday night to put the invites together.

Friday I ran to the big box sporting goods store and found the "size 3" soccer ball and shin guards in beautiful pink for Catie! The girls coudn't wait to play in the backyard...it just cracked me up to see Catie want to put on her cleats (from her cousin Thomas--thank you!) with her school dress! She wanted to put on her whole uniform..but I was able to convince her to save it for the morning.

The day before...actually a week ago now...we had a fun mail day....look at the amazing goodies we got from Kristin..all to thank me for the brag book I made for her! Books for each of the girls...the Mom and Me book is so cool...Catie and I can take quizzes..where she asks me questions about when I was her age, etc. She pulled a pen out and wanted to get started right away! Kristin also was so generous in a gift to me that allowed me to have a fun shoping spree at Shabbby Miss Jenn's store for National Scrapbook Day! Thank you Kristin.

Catie also was THRILLED that Gramma Long sent back her yellow blanket that we'd left at their house during our Easter visit. Gramma, here is proof that this little girl is happy and a tad bit cozier thanks to you!

I was so excited to use this quick page to showcase one of my new favorite photos of Anna from the soccer game the other night in the yard..she is running, and I just love it. The quick page is created by designer Creashens for "The Daily Digi's : Digi Files #4..."
In case you haven't checked out the Daily Digi...do it! I love that site...Janet Phillips is my favorite template designer, and every day she has a new post with fun tidbits, freebies, cool tricks for digi, and more! You can buy a new grab bag of sorts every month for $5...and Creashens kit is in it..it is beautiful. Very cool!

I just got done watching LOST (WOW...great episode and next week is the season finale!) and I rolled a package of diapers for Stacey's diaper cake!
