Catie was nearly asleep--but I had that sweet moment of good nights with her, and the smile on her face as she saw me come in her room, and that she told me she missed me...it warmed my heart.
Mom had just put Anna down to bed in her crib and Anna was balling. Anna and I have our little routine down after putting Catie down and how could Gramma know that "the town book" is really Wheels on the Bus. (all through the "town.") I calmed her down by dancing...she always says "rock, baby"-her way of singing rockabye baby. She fell asleep in my arms. That isn't very often that she does that anymore--so I just danced with her cradled like a baby--she still fits snug in my arms with her legs wrapped around my waist--I've got to cherish these little moments while they last. I sat there staring at her little face...the kind of moment we like to memorize.
I can't believe that this past Tuesday (27th) marked her 18 month birthday--this is Anna with her new "wink!" Which consists of fluttering both eyes shut--so cute!
Gramma's Girls
So the girls were so excited that Gramma G. was watching them..Catie got to watch the Grinch on DVR, and she coaxed Gramma into giving her some cocoa (a girl after my own heart!) Then mom tells me when I got home that Catie saw the ad for The Polar Express playing tomorrow night on ABC, so she says "Gramma, maybe I can come over to your house and stay over and watch it with you!" Always thinking...she came up with a way to stay up late and watch it! :)
